He was born October 15, 1915, the son of David Arthur Benham and Maggie Lee (Harrington) Benham. He was preceded in death by his wife , Mrs. Louella (Cain) Benham on December 29, 1973.
He is survived by nine children, Mrs. Wayne (Alice) Johnston, Larry David Benham, Mrs. Paul (Brenda) Zerkow, Mrs. Tony (Nancy) McGuire, Mrs. Elzy (Susan) Turner, Gary Lee Benham, Miss Teresa Mae Benham, Barry Stephen Benham and Paul Dwight Benham; three sisters, Mrs. Maydee Snyder, Mrs. Mattie Lee McMahan and Mrs. Katherine Barker; four brothers, Garland Benham, Gilbert Benham, Robert (Bob) Benham and James C. (Bud) Benham and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Stanley Lyons and Brother Johnny Benham officiating. Interment was in the Church Cemetery directed by Hager Funeral Home. Pallbearers were, Marvin McMahan, Joseph Snyder, Clifford Dale Barker, David Cain, Donald Cain and Gregory Cain.
