Mrs. Maggie Lee Benham, 80 years old, of Route 2, Brandenburg, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 27, 1972, at Kentucky Baptist Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born in Meade County, Kentucky, July 30, 1891, a daughter of George Harrington and Martha Katherine Miller Harrington.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. David Arthur Benham; eight children, Mrs. Clyde (Maydee) Snyder, Mr. Gilbert Benham, Mr. Robert Curtis Benham, and Mr. James Clifford Benham, all of Brandenburg, Ky., Mrs. Marvin (Mattie Lee) McMahan, New Albany, Indiana, Mrs. Curtis (Katherine) Barker, Radcliff, Ky., Mr. Garland Benham and Mr. Paul David Benham, both of Route 1, Vine Grove, Ky., one daughter Mona Louise Benham, preceded her mother in death on March 25, 1943; one brother, Mr. Dee Harrington, Brandenburg, Kentucky, 47 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29, 1972, 2:00 p.m., from the Brandenburg Church of the Nazarene with Rev. M. C. Hash and Rev. Larry McGranahan officiating. Interment was in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Joe Snyder, Curtis Barker, David Howard Benham, Gilbert Benham, Jr. . James Arthur (Buddy) Benham, Larry David Benham. Honorary pallbearers were Marvin R. McMahan, Neal Benham, Robert L. McMahan, Gary Lee Benham.
