Emily Sue Wallace, 74, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away on Tuesday, December 13 at Oakhurst Center in Ocala. Emily was born in Procterville, OH to Elmer and Irma Hennington and moved to Ocala in 1999 from Decatur, IL where she spent most of her life. She worked as a legal and medical secretary, retiring from MRMC in 2006. She was a member of Oxford Assembly of God Church and enjoyed working with and feeding the homeless at “Brother’s Keeper” interfaith shelter in Ocala. Emily also enjoyed golf and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 14 years Gregory T. Wallace of Ocklawaha, son Scott Myers of Decatur, IL, brothers Jim Hennington of Decatur, IL, and Bud Hennington of Arkansas, sisters Nora Kinney of Decatur, IL, and Debbie Thomas of Mason City, IL. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Oxford Assembly of God Church, 11214 Hwy 301, Oxford, FL 34484. Visitation is from 12:30 to 2:00pm. Funeral starts at 2:00pm with Pastor Darryl Strickland officiating. Mrs. Wallace will be buried in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, IL.
