"Nina “Ruth” Humphrey, age 83 of Battletown, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 in Louisville, KY.
She was born on December 18, 1932 in Battletown, KY daughter of the late Paul “Warren” and Mary “Eleanor” Arnold Allen. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her: loving husband, Corbett Mitchell Humphrey; siblings, Mary “Mildred” Addkison, Alva Eugene “Buddy” Allen, “Neva” Louise Greer, Beatrice “Marie” Hardesty, “Loretta” Mae Jupin, Thelma “Irene” Hockman, “James” Lamar Allen, “William” Randolph Allen, Robert “Verland” Allen, Anna Rita Benham, Paul Warren Allen, Jr.; and son-in-law, Michael Brown.
Ruth is survived by her: children, Deborah (Kenneth) Brown of Brandenburg and Deedreia Brown of Payneville; sisters, Patsy (Earl “Lucy”) Smith of Brandenburg, Bonnie Jean Wardrip of Brandenburg, Rena Lou (Carlisle “Dudge”) Humphrey of Battletown; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM EDT on Thursday the 22nd of September 2016 at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi in Payneville, KY with Father George Illikkal officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21st from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and after 8:00 AM on Thursday. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM with Father George Illikkal presiding."
