Mr. Corbett Mitchell Humphrey, 69, of Brandenburg, died Friday Nov. 17 at Hart County Healthcare Center, Horse Cave. He was born in Meade County on Dec. 30, 1925, the son of the late Corbett Lee Humphrey and Josephine Irene Bennett Humphrey. Mr. Humphrey was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Roberta Brown and Mrs. Althea Mills, one brother, Mr. R. L. Humphrey. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Humphrey; two children, Mrs. Kenneth (Debbie) Brown, Brandenburg; and Mrs. Michael (Deedreia) Brown, Payneville; four grandchildren; Kendra Dennis, Leslie Brown, Amber Brown, and Casey Brown; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Dennis; two sisters, Mrs. Daleye Humphrey, Brandenburg; and Mrs. Joan Mattingly, Battletown; and two brothers; Mr. Martin Humphrey, Battletown, and Mr. Carlisle "Dudge" Humphrey, Battletown. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, from St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Father James Schook officiating. Prayers were recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, by Father James Schook from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home. Interment was in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery directed by Jenkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Toby Wardrip, Wayne Dennis, Gary Mills, Robert Allen, David Greer, and Francis Kendall Jr.
