Bonnie Jean Wardrip, age 82 of Brandenburg, KY passed away at home on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born on March 12, 1938 in Battletown, KY, daughter of the late Paul “Warren” and Mary “Eleanor” Arnold Allen.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Herbert “Herbie” Wardrip; siblings, Mary “Mildred” Addkison, Alva Eugene “Buddy” Allen, “Neva” Louise Greer, Beatrice “Marie” Hardesty, “Loretta” Mae Jupin, Thelma “Irene” Hockman, “James” Lamar Allen, “William” Randolph Allen, Robert “Verland” Allen, Anna Rita Benham, Paul Warren Allen, Jr, and Nina “Ruth” Humphrey.

Bonnie was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling when she could and loved being around her family.

She is survived by: her fiancé, Joe Barr of Rough River; children, Gwen (Gary) Mills of Payneville, Darla (Joe) Padgett of Brandenburg, Dan (Sandy) Wardrip of Brandenburg, and Toby (Royetta) Wardrip of Valley Station; grandchildren, Amy, Cory, Trevor, Jennifer, Megan, Zachary, and Raymie; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Lindsey, Lane, Layla, Quade, Zaxlie, Hank, Clara, and Kelly; sisters, Rena Lou Humphrey of Battletown and Patsy Smith of Brandenburg.

Funeral Mass will be held privately from St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Payneville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery next to her husband, with Father George Illikkal presiding. Arrangements by Burlington-Sturgeon and Jenkins Funeral Home.
