Arlene N. Hershey, 79, of Bethel, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

She was the wife of Wilbur K. Hershey, who died April 27, 2012.

Born in New Holland on July 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Samuel O. and Anna (Martin) Nolt.

Arlene was an active member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, Bethel. She and her husband operated a dairy farm for over 50 years. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Renee Hershey, of Bethel, Julie, wife of Stanley Risser, of Lebanon; sons, Richard, husband of Bonnie Hershey, of Fredericksburg, W. Ray, husband of Jenifer Hershey, of Bethel; grandchildren, Derrick Hershey, Trista Oxenreider, Craig Hershey, Curtis Hershey, Evan Hershey, Daniel Risser, David Risser, Sarah Risser, and James Risser; great grandchildren, Collin and Jordan Hershey, and Avery and Rowan Oxenreider; sisters, Edna Graybill, of Fairmount Homes, Esther, wife of Jake Kreider, of Kinzers, and Dorothy, wife of Bud Blank, of Atglen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Harlan Nolt; and sisters, Mabel Mellinger and Anna Mary Bollinger.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, 31 Rehrersburg Rd., Bethel. A viewing will be held Sunday, from 6-8 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at the adjoining church cemetery.
