Dorothy "Dotty" Blank, age 81, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away at the Mount Joy Hospice Center on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was the wife of Elam R. "Bud" Blank, with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage on June 1st. She was born in New Holland, daughter of the late Samuel & Anna Martin Nolt. She was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church of Atglen. Dotty loved embroidery, puzzles, music, looking at photos, singing with her sisters, looking out her window down over the family farm and most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband are 6 children: Carol Mast of Parkesburg, Clifford husband of Joyce Stoltzfus Blank of Gap, Andy husband of Cynthia Ebersole Blank of Leola, David husband of Lisa Updegrove Blank of Atglen, Bill husband of Julie Bonn Blank of Cannon Beach, OR, Becky wife of Brent Boles of Seaside, OR, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a sister Esther Kreider of New Holland. She was preceded in death by a grandson and 6 siblings.
Memorial service will take place from the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 549 Swan Road, Atglen, on Tuesday, March 26th at 11 a.m. with her son Pastor Bill Blank officiating. Private interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery prior to the memorial service. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 24th at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be a time to greet the family on Tuesday following the memorial service.
