"SAMUEL O. NOLT, 91, formerly of New Holland R.D. 1, died Sunday morning at 8 in the Fairmount Rest Home, West Earl Township, where he had resided for several years. His wife, Anna (Martin) Nolt, died in February 1985. Born in Earl Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late David G. and Mary (Oberholtzer) Nolt. A thrasher and a farmer, he had been employed as a machinist and mechanic by the Arthur S. Young Co., Kinzers, for 20 years before retiring in 1960. He was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church. Surviving are two sons: Paul M., New Holland R.D. 1, and Harlan M., East Petersburg. Six daughters: Mabel M., wife of Charles W. Mellinger, Lancaster; Edna M., wife of Omar M. Graybill, East Earl R.D. 1; and Anna Mary, wife of Galen S. Bollinger, Fredericksburg R.D. 1. And Esther M. Wife of Jacob L. Kreider, Kinzers R.D. 1; Arlene N., wife of Wilbur K. Hershey, Bethel R.D. 1; and Dorothy M., wife of Elam R. Blank, Parkesburg R.D. 1. Also 35 grandchildren, 46 greatgrandchildren, and two brothers: Eli O. and Norman O. both of New Holland R.D. 1. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements."
