She was born in the village of Dahln, near Arvika, in the Vermillandia ("Värmland") province of Sweden, bordering Norway, and met her Scanian husband when he was working on the railroad between Oslo and Stockholm. After she married him and had a son and two daughters in Arvika, they moved to Dalecarlia and there had three more sons and two more daughters. When she died, two years after her husband, she was buried in the same section of Stora Tuna Churchyard but 42 meters north of his grave under a very nice identical gravestone. In 2020, her stone was moved to the family grave to match his and a small stone with her initials was placed at her actual burial site.
