Mrs. Arnold Van Steenwyk (nee Clara Dykstra), died August 10 at the age of 48 years and 9 months.

Mrs. Van Steenwyk had been undergoing hospital treatment for diabetes and other complications but two weeks ago was dismissed from the hospital and returned to her home where she was under care of her sister, Miss Gertie Dykstra.

Mrs. Van Steenwyk was born in Arum, Friesland, and came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Dykstra, to Orange City in 1902.

She was married to Arnold Van Steenwyk at Orange City in February 1911.

The deceased is survived by her husband; by four children, William, Nelvina, Ella Mae, Alvin; by her sister, Gertrude, and one brother, Cornelius Dykstra, of Monroe, S.D.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at one o’clock at the home and at two o’clock at the Christian Reformed church at Hospers. Interment took place in the Orange City cemetery.
