E.H. Dykstra, 84, died at his home Saturday, July I, from the infirmities of old age.
He was born at Arum, Friesland, The Netherlands, in 1855.
In 1884 he was married to Pietertje Hofma.
The couple came to America in 1902 and settled in the Orange City vicinity.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Clara Van Steenwyk.
He is survived by a son, Cornelius of Murdo, S.D. and a daughter, Gertrude, who is at home.
Other survivors include 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o’clock at the First Reformed church with the Rev. H. Colenbrander officiating.
