Edward Jos. Wettstein

Edward Joseph Wettstein, 74, of the town of Delmar, passed away this morning at 1:40 o'clock at his home after a lingering illness. He had been confined to his bed since April.

Mr. Wettstein was born March 29, 1874, in Chilton, Wis., and resided there until 1898, when he moved to the town of Delmar and where he had since resided. He was married to Anna Grewe in 1899 at Holy Trinity church in Jericho, Wis. Ten children were born to them, one of whom died in infancy in 1918, Mr. Wettstein is survived by his wife and the following children, Mrs. Albert (Veronica) Schneider of Stanley; Mrs. Math (Eleanor) Butler of Boyd; Mrs. Irene Nayes of Boyd; Mrs. Nick (Hilda) Stuttgen of Stanley; Mrs. Val (Mary) Licht of Stanley; Norbert of Chippewa Falls; Fred of Minneapolis; Ben of Menasha; Mrs. Emmanuel (Edith) LeComte of Menasha, also four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Aug Propson and Mrs. John Propson, Mrs. John Seichter and Mrs. John Dohr, all of Chilton, Wis.; Hubert, Albert and Simon Wettstein, Chilton; 38 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wettstein was a Member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, the Holy Name Society and St. Joseph's Society.

The remains will lie in state at the Supple Funeral Home in Boyd from Sunday noon until Monday noon when they will be taken to the late residence until the time of the funeral. Services will take place Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Boyd with Msgr. Hilary Leuther officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in St. Joseph's cemetery. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers.

The rosary will be recited at the residence on Monday night at 8 o'clock.
