Born May 22,1884, In Calumet County, he was the son of Joseph and Catherine Wettstein. Mr. Wettstein had farmed in the Town of New Holstein for 12 years before retiring and moving to Stockbridge.
Survivors include his widow, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Scott, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Albert Oakley, Sheboygan; three sons, Norman and Gilbert, Kaukauna, and Matthew of Sheboygan; 24 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Stockbridge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body is in state at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Stockbridge.
