Mrs. John Seichter, 87, passed away early this morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gebhart of Sheboygan. She had been in ill health for the past year.
Born May 15, 1870, in Jericho, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wettstein, she was married Oct. 17, 1893, to John Seichter at Jericho. They lived in Charlesburg most of their married life. She was a member of St. Charles congregation at Charlesburg and also a member of the Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors are eight daughters, Mrs. Frank (Veronica) Steffen of New Holstein, Mrs. Otto (Lorena) Ludwig of Chilton, Mrs. Hubert (Hildegarde) Nett of Kiel, Mrs. Albert (Lydia) Ott of Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. Nick (Helen) Gebhart of Sheboygan, Mrs. Clarence (Anna) Kleinhans of Chilton, Mrs. Emil (Lucille) Landrath of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Beumler of Kiel; a son, Bernard, of Sheboygan; 48 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert of New Holstein and Simon of Chilton; and two sisters, Mrs. August Propson and Mrs. John Propson of Chilton.
Her husband died May 29, 1927, and two sons also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home at Chilton and at 10 o'clock at St. Charles Catholic Church at Charlesburg with the Rev. Francis J. Melchors officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
The rosary will be recited at the funeral home by members of the Christian Mothers Society at 8 p.m. Thursday, and again at 8 p.m. Friday by Father Melchoirs.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Seichter of Charlesburg were held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton and at 10 o'clock at St. Charles Catholic Church at Charlesburg. The Rev. Francis Melchiors officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the Mesdames Joseph Kern, John Gebhert, Joseph Nett, Leo Keuler, Ferdinand Hoffmann and William Daun.
Active pallbearers were the following grandchildren: Leander Steffen, Gerald Ludwig, Roger Otto, James Kleinhans, Jerry Thiel and Daniel Seichter.
