MRS. MARY ALICE FINLEY DIES SATURDAY MORNING
Funeral Services Conducted This Afternoon for County Woman


Mrs. Mary Alice Finley, age seventy-eight, Seymour, R2, died at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the home just west of Beech Grove. She had been ill for a week and her condition had been critical for several hours before her death.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock this afternoon at Uniontown with the Rev. Walter Moseley in charge. Burial was in the Uniontown Cemetery.

Mrs. Finley was born on August 12, 1862, in Jennings county, the daughter of Hezekiah and Pernicia McDonald Carpenter, both deceased. She lived in Jackson county practically her entire life and was married in 1882 to John W. Finley, who died on December 19, 1922. A wide circle of friends mourn her passing.

She is survived by eight children, Mrs. Rosie Carpenter, of Paris Crossing; Columbus Finley, Seymour R2; Hezekiah Finley; Mrs. Florence Foster, Seymour R2; Mrs. Grace Stout, of Seymour; John W. Finley, James Finley and Miss Verna Finley, all at home.
