Rites Tuesday


Funeral services for Phares Franklin Childs, 72, will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning at the Evergreen Church with the Rev. Paul Trussels, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Orvllle Smith.

Mr. Childs, who was a life long resident of the Evergreen community, died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at his home.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Childs, Route 3, Minden; five sons, Leslie, and Thurston, of Minden. Garvice, of Bastrop, Thurman, of Springhill, Huey, of Bossier City; two daughters. Mrs. Thelma Speight, of Shreveport, Mrs. Jessie Booth, of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Charlie Childs, of Plain Dealing, seventeen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
