Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth C. Boothe, 77, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2001, at Evergreen Church with the Rev. Floyd Stratton officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. today, May 3.
Mrs. Boothe, a native and resident of Minden, passed away, Tuesday, May 1, in Minden. She was a teacher and a member of Evergreen United Methodist-Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Boothe, and son, Jesse Lee "Little Buddy" Boothe Jr.
She is survived by her sons, James Garland Boothe and wife Sharon of Pace, Fla., Billy Ray Boothe of Minden, daughters, Ava Pinckley and husband Matt of Bossier City, Jerry Aronoff and husband Sanford of Walled Lake, Mich., sister, Thelma Hodge of Minden brother, Huey Childs of Minden, nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren, her foster children, Angela, Keven, David, Bobby, John and Paul, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Herry Hacher, Jesse Boothe, Jr., Christopher Boothe, Paul House, Danny Puckett, and Vern Staley.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
