CHARLIE CHILDS

Services for Charlie C. Childs, 86, 209 Adair St., Bossier City, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mott Assembly of God Church near Plain Dealing with the Rev. Mitchel Cason of Bossier City and the Rev. Jack Gresham officiating. Burial will be in State Line Cemetery near Springhill under direction of Bailey Mortuary of Plain Dealing.

A native of Minden, Mr. Childs died Friday in his home following a lengthy illness. He had lived in Bossier City several years and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Childs; three sons, Lee Childs of Bossier City, Charlie Childs Jr. of Johnson, Kan., and Willie Childs of Lewisville, Ark.; a stepson, Jimmie A. Merritt of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Izore Nix of Pueblo, Colo. and Mrs. Mary R. Dillon of Bossier City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wanda J. Gillis of Alvin, Tex.; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
