Harriet Edna Hadley was the seventh child of Jonathan William Hadley and Flora E Andrew and was born on Saturday, March 31, 1900...there were three more siblings to come.

Saturday seemed to be her lucky day for she was married to John Henry Jordan on Saturday, October 10, 1925. They were the parents of Smith, Dollie and Virginia Ruth Jordan.

Ednie was widowed on February 8th, 1944 when John passed away at the age of 51, and at 88 years of age, Ednie joined him.

Her resident county was Alamance, North Carolina, but she was living with her daughter, Virginia Jordan Robinette in Pacolet, Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. On August 15, 1988 at the time of her death she was hospitalized there. She was brought back to South Fork Friends Church, Snow Camp Rt, Chatham, North Carolina and buried beside her husband, John Henry Jordan.
