On Saturday, June 2, 1906, the 10th and final bundle of joy arrived for Jonathan William and Flora E Andrew Hadley on Snow Camp Rt., Newlin, Alamance, North Carolina, and her name was Ruth.

The 1910 Census stated that the Hadley Family still lived at the same residence and Jonathan, the father had passed away in 1907 at the age of 42, leaving Flora as head of the house.

At the age of 26, Ruth had the man of her choice and on 20 August 1932, She and Harlow Lindley made a trip to Danville, Virginia, USA to become husband and wife. And in due time they were the proud parents of Jo Ann, Gerald Van and Harry Newlin.
