NEWPORT NEWS - Caroline T. "Mama Crum" Critzer peacefully entered Heaven on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Caroline was born February 12, 1926 in Iredelle County, NC to the late Nelson and Ethel Shell. She has lived in Newport News since 1963. Caroline was co-owner of Critzer Antiques and Wicker and was well known and loved by many of her clients. Her greatest loves were her relationship with God, her family and flowers. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Roy Lee Crum and William Davis Critzer; her 3 brothers, Walter, Harvey and Charles; 5 sisters, Maude, Alice, Mannie, Lizzie and Francis; and her daughter Delores "Ikey" Kendrick. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Ronnie and Janice Crum and Edward and Anita Crum; her son-in-law Butch Kendrick; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow 3 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park in Hampton with Pastor Glenn Jones officiating. Arrangements by W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
