Mrs. Maude Shell Dillon of 49 Carlson Ave. died yesterday morning at Memorial Hospital. A lifetime resident of Danville, Mrs. Dillon was born on May 19, 1906, to the late Nelson Shell and May Warner Shell. She married Bill Jones, who died at an early age, and later married John Dillon who died in 1972. Mrs. Dillon is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Crumb of Norfolk, Mrs. Frances Bailey of Thomasville, N.C., Mrs. Lizzy Mae Hess of Spencer, N.C, and Mrs. Nannie Foster of Salisbury, N.C.; and one brother, Charlie Shell of Danville. A funeral will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the West Main Church of God, where Mrs. Dillon belonged, by the Rev. Walter C. Mauldin. Burial will be in Schoolfield Cemetery. The body is at Swicegood Funeral Home. The family is at the residence on Carlson Avenue.
