Funeral services for Ruth Louise Green, 53, of Sand Springs were held Tuesday at Calvary Heights Assembly of God Church with Rev. Randy Mashburn officiating. Interment followed in Woodland Memorial Park under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service. She died on March 1, 1997 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born on July 14, 1943 in Berryville, Arkansas to Raymond Theodore and Alice (Smith) Doss. She was a homemaker. She married Melvin Clyde Green on July 28, 1961 in Sand Springs. She is survived by her husband; her daughters, Alica Mae Starling and Anna Louise Starling, both of Sand Springs; her son, Michael Melvin Green of Sand Springs; her sisters, Mary Alice Shockley of Bristow, Rita Jean Massey of Sand Springs, and Rosielee Inman of Berryville, Arkansas; her brothers, Carl James Doss, Ronald Theodore Doss, and Thomas Dewayne Doss, all of Sand Springs, John Edward Doss of Glencoe, Lonny Richard Doss of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Samuel Michael Doss of Bristow; and five grandchildren.
