DELCAMBRE — Services for Mrs. Curley Veronie, the former Mable Venable, 86, will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Cankton and resident of Erath, Mrs. Veronie died at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, April, 11, 2006, Abbeville General Hospital.
She is survived by her two daughters, Verlie V. Langlinais and husband Noicy of Erath and Jay Savoie of Big Lake; five sisters, Mary Bordelon, Velma Babineaux, Elvie Dugas, Emithile Savoie and Annabelle Cormier; eight grandchildren, Angel Boutte, Patty Sibille, Charlene Floris, Katina, Tracy and Eddie Langlinais, Hope Richard, and Ann Wheat; 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Veronie was preceded in death by her husband, Curley Veronie; a daughter, Verna Bourque; parents, Dosethe Dalton and Elvena Faul Venable; three brothers, Dalton, Gene, and Oliver Joseph Venable; a sister; Hazel Bourgeois; and three grandchildren, Bobby Wheat, Daniel Bourque, and Coleen Zebutis.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Burke Jr., Seth Richard, Jeric, Eddie and Tracy Langlinais, Leland Richard, Bryce Sibille.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Dugas and Mike Myers.
Evangeline Funeral Home Inc. of Delcambre, Louisiana was in charge of the arrangements.
