Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro.
Mrs. Dugas was a native of Cankton and a resident of Carencro. She enjoyed reading, beadwork and puzzles.
Survivors include three sons, David Dugas of Duson, Leroy Dugas, Jr. of Carencro and Ricky Dugas and his wife, Doris, of Ridge; three daughters, Brenda Quebedeaux and her husband, Don, of Lafayette, Nita Simon of Carencro and Dale Dugas of Gulf Breeze, FL; twenty grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; eight great, great grandchildren; and three sisters, Anna Belle Cormier of Iowa, Velma Babineaux and her husband, Roy, of Cankton and Marie Bordelon of Marksville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dugas, Sr.; her parents, Dozita Venable and the former, Elvina Marie Faul, both natives of Cankton; one son, Ernest Dugas; three brothers, Oliver Venable, Dalton Venable and Nalton Venable; and three sisters, Mable Veronie, Hazel Bourgeois and Emathilda "Teal" Savoie.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. Thursday open all night until service time on Friday.
