Charles was born in Lura Twp and married Edna Mae Annis on Sep 4, 1888 in Blue Earth County. They had 11 children: Jesse, Florence, Winnifred, Joyce, Erma, Blanche, Marvin, George, Richard, Horace and John Arnold who died as an infant. Charlie has one brother, Sidney, and 2 sisters, Cora and Ada. Cora died as a teen and Ada was widowed early, remarried and moved to Canada, later returning to Washington.
