Father of Parish Woman Is Dead
PARISH – Alfred J. Putvin died Wednesday April 19, at Crouse-Irving hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness. He was the father of Mrs. Esther Wightman of this village.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eliza Bennett Putvin; two sons, Fred Putvin of Albany and William of Brewerton; two daughters, Mrs. Wightman, of Parish and Mrs. Evelyn Wood of Syracuse; a sister, Miss Florence Putvin, Syracuse; a brother, Otis, of Syracuse; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was held Saturday morning at the home of his son, William at Brewerton and a half-hour later in St. Michael's church, Central Square. Burial was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery, Parish.
