Funeral services for Laura May Blanchard were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 in the Chapel of Macy and Son with interment at Harmony Cemetery.
The daughter of Henry and Carletta Buell, she was born March 19, 1884 in Ballston. She attended schools in Ballston and Sheridan and lived all but 20 years of her life in the Sheridan area.
For 20 years she lived in the Central Oregon area near Culver and Lamonta and was a member of the Baptist Church in Harmony, Oregon. For the past two years she had been in a rest home.
She is survived by three sons: Charles Blanchard, Hermiston, Carl V. Blanchard, New Pine, Verne E. Blanchard, Bend; three daughters: Mrs. Dora V. Thomas Sherman, Sheridan; Mrs. Juanita Colson, Port Orford, Mrs. Nola J. Hansen, Bend; two brothers: Hathaway Buell, Portland, Ivan Buell, Winston; three sisters: Mrs. Lavilla Woodard, Cottage Grove, Mrs. Viola Wood, Portland, Mrs. Ila Seger, Coos Bay; 19 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
