Franklin Delaine "Frank" Rogers, 81 years, 2 months and 26 days of age, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, departed this life at 11:35 a.m. on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, Indiana in the presence of his loving family after an eight month battle with cancer.

Frank was born in Berea, Kentucky on Wednesday, February 1st, 1933, son of the late William Bart and Lavada Thompson Rogers. Frank went to the Pulaski County Schools in Somerset, Kentucky. He was retired from environmental services at the Greater Clark County School System. He was a former heating and air conditioning repair man, and a former fire department volunteer. Frank was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed computers, searching google earth, playing guitars, playing pool in his basement, tools and building projects, raising birds, feeding squirrels in his backyard, and spending time with family and friends.

Frank was survived by his loving wife of 28 years who cared for him until his death, Martha Gearldine Copeland Rogers, whom he married on August 24th, 1985 at the Sunnyside Assembly of God Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana; one daughter, Lisa Rogers Frakes; one son, Frankie Eugene "Frank" (and Kika) Rogers; one step-daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Scrogham (and Ricky Hooker); one step-son, Eric (and Jan) Smith; nine grandchildren, Jerry Rogers, Chris Rogers, Magaly Jewel Weyrich, Heather (and Nick) Morris, Salena Limón, Nolan Smith, Erica Thompson, Ryan Stewart and Rachel (and Ramiro) Rojas; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Joe (and Vickie) Stone; a sister-in-law, Iona (and Ed) Greishaw; his best friend, Morris Dillard; his little dog, Angel; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart Rogers, who departed this life on March 31st, 1948 and Lavada Rogers, who departed this life on December 28th, 1937; three brothers, George Dramon Rogers, who departed this life on January 5th, 1938, Preston Rogers, who departed this life on September 20th, 1928, and William "Raymond" Rogers, who departed this life on December 3rd, 1987; one brother, Addie May Rogers, who died in infancy on June 16th, 1927; one sister, Anna Mae Stone, who departed this life on August 18th, 2001; and his first wife of 18 years, Evelyn "Louise" Willard Rogers, whom he married on August 26th, 1963 in Jellico, Tennessee and who departed this life on December 30th, 1981.

Visitations were held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at the Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1st, 2014 in the Chapel of the Legacy Funeral Center with Bro. Larry Poe officiating.

Musical selections were: Go Rest High On That Mountain: by Vince Gill, The Dance: by Garth Brooks, I Will Always Love You: by Dolly Parton, and I Can Only Imagine: by Mercy Me.

In honor of his family's wishes, funeral services were followed by cremation.
