Virginia M. Surma, nee Parker, age 80, of Northlake, IL, formerly of Rio Rancho, NM and Chicago, IL, died peacefully at home on March 9th. Virginia is survived by her husband of 57 years John J. (retired CPD 008). Loving mother of Kathleen McHugh, William (Mary Frances) Surma, and Diane Fornek. Proud grandmother of John, Andrew, Patrick, Mary Kate and Michael McHugh, Madeleine and Cecily Surma, and Daniel, Jacob and James Fornek. Fond sister to Geri Schmit of Wisconsin and brother to Richard Parker of California. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend of many.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Visitation Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, IL. Funeral Thursday, March 13, where family and friends will gather 9:00 a.m. at the Scalabrini Nursing Center 480 N. Wolf Road Northlake, IL, for a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Internment Resurrection Cemetery.
