In birth order: Margaret, Joan, Edward, Jr., Catherine, Robert, Paul, Virginia, Philip, Mary Anne, Geraldine, and Richard.
As a young single woman, Marge was a registered nurse. In 1944, 1945, or 1946 Marge was working at the Vaughan Veterans' Hospital, in Hines, Illinois, which is just west of Chicago.
It was there that Marge met a patient, DeWitt "De" Corry. De had become paralyzed below his waist when he was shot in Italy in 1944 during World War II.
Both were such nice people that they fell in love with each other. On October 21, 1947, in Adell, Wisconsin, the couple married. In 1944 Marge's parents and siblings had moved from the south side of Chicago to a farm five miles from Adell, in Oostburg, which is why the marriage was in Wisconsin.
Marge and DeWitt moved to Santa Monica, California, because De had lost the ability to sweat, and couldn't live full time in hot or humid areas of the United States.
The couple adopted two children, Michael and Patricia.
Marge died at the young age of 57, of cancer.
