After William divorced Nancy Oakley, he married the widow Malinda Russell in 1849 Greene County Indiana. He, his wife, and his wife's 5 children by her former marriage (Malinda, Mary, Lydia, Perry, and Justis) are on the 1850 US Federal Census-Greene County. By 1860 the family is living in Newton County Arkansas. Thus is according to 1860 US Federal Census-Newton County that has William, Malinda, their daughter Comfort, and one of Malinda's children from her 1st marriage, son Perry.
William received a land grant for Izard County Arkansas in 1860 and was living there with Malinda and Comfort for the 1870 US Federal Census-Izard County. William and Malinda "disappear" after the 1870 Census.
