He was the son of the late Josephus and Susan Gross Wise.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Middletown.
He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Stanley Reeder, Boonsboro; Mrs. Clarence Gaver and Mrs. Leighton Blickenstaff, both of Middletown; sons, Paul, Mapleville; Roy, Hagerstown; Charles, Boonsboro; Clarence, Middletown; Henry, Baltimore; Grayson, Middletown; and Wilmer, Frederick.
Also a sister, Mrs. Fannie Brandenburg, Myersville; brothers, Joseph Wise, Alexandria, Ohio; and John Wise, Frederick; 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services at Gladhill Funeral Home, Middletown, on Thursday at 2 pm, the Rev. J. Paul Seltzer officiating. Interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
