Baxter Springs Citizen-Jan 12, 1967-Hill Rites Held Today-The funeral service for Mrs. Mary Odette Hill, who died at 7:55 o’clock Monday night in the Quaker Hill manor, Lowell, was at 2:oo o’clock this afternoon in the First United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. George F. Ott was in charge. The organist was Miss Ruth Thomas. Pallbearers were F.A. Asendorf, R.C. Gibson, Gilbert Fuller, Garland Largen, Floyd Chase and the Rev. Robert Williams. Burial was in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Hill, 86, has been in the nursing home since August 20, 1961. She was born September 21, 1880 in Holden, Missouri and had lived in Baxter Springs for many years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Survivors are: a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Kenney, principal at Washington school; a grandson, George Kenney, who is in the Air Force and stationed at Austin, Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Caldwell of Holden, Missouri and Mrs. G.T. Roach of Warrensburg, Missouri. Her husband, Fred Hill died in 1937, and a son, Jack Hill, died in 1949, while serving with the Armed Forces overseas.
