The Holden Progress-September 21, 1950-Ralph W. Paul Rites Saturday-Funeral services for Ralph W. Paul, who passed away Thursday at his home in Paola, Kans., were held Saturday afternoon at the Cast funeral home. The Rev. J.R. Sipes pastor of the Methodist Church conducted the rites. Burial was in the Holden Cemetery. Pallbearers were Guy Lewis, Robert Conrad, H.B. Ball, Warner Bowman, Forrest Holiday and Albert Ward. Mr. Paul was born in Holden May 16, 1885, a son of Perry and Amanda Lane Paul. He was reared in this community and for a number of years he worked on local newspapers. He recently had been employed in similar work in Paola, Kans. Mr. Paul is survived by his wife, Olinda Hagameyer Paul, one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Smith; one grandson, Rickey and a granddaughter, Linda, all of Paola, Kans. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Fred Hill, Baxter Springs, Kans.; Mrs. G.T. Roach, Centerview; Mrs. Warren Dunham, Oakland, Calif; Mrs. Fred Caldwell, Holden and two brothers, Clyde Paul, Philadelphia, Pa., and Merl Paul, Holden.
