The Holden Progress-August 8, 1968-Mrs. R.W. Paul Dies After Brief Illness-Mrs. Ralph W. Paul passed away Monday Aug 5, (1968), at Research Hospital, Kansas City, after becoming suddenly ill at her home on Friday.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning the Ben Cast and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Brooks officiating. Robert Mickey, soloist, sang "How Great Thou Art". Mrs. Verle Roberts was organist. Pallbearers were Albert Ward, Robert Alexander, Mike Alexander, James Stumpff, Jack Wharton and Billy Roach. Interment was in Holden Cemetery.

Olinda Louise Paul, 79, the daughter of Fred W. and Annie Streubbe Hagemeyer was born in Holden June 16, 1889. She was reared and educated here and was married to Ralph W. Paul in 1921. They were the parents of one daughter. They lived in Paola, Kans. from 1927, until the death of her husband in 1950. She returned to Holden in 1952 and had since made her home here. She was a member of the Holden Methodist Church.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Paul R. (Betty) Smith, Kansas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bradley of Holden and Mrs. Ruth Christy, Gary, Ind. She also leaves two grandchildren, Linda and Ricky Smith, Kansas City. W/O Ralph W. Paul
