Henry Marshall Brooks, age 74, died at his home here Monday, August 24, at 8:45 A.M. He was born at Doniphan, MO on Nov. 13, 1884 and was a member of the Main Street Pentecostal Church.
He had lived in Corning 45 years, coming here from Doniphan.
His wife, Mrs. Stella Brooks, survives him. Other survivors are three sons, Walter Brooks of Corning, Albert Brooks of Lansing, Mich. and Billie Brooks of Corning; four daughters, Mrs. Leslie Batsch and Mrs. Jewell Eason of St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Merle Brown and Mrs. Rosie Herren of Corning; four brothers, Silas Brooks of Doniphan, Willis Brooks of Indianapolis, Ind., Charlie Brooks of East St. Louis, Ill., and Jim Brooks of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Steele of Silvan, Ill., Mrs. Minnie Sullivan of Doniphan; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Main Street Pentecostal church at 2 P.M. August 26 with the Rev. H. E. Creed conducting, assisted by the Rev. J. A. Nochta.
Burial was in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Russell-Ermert Service.
