Funeral services for Stella Mary Brooks, Corning, were conducted at First Pentecostal Church, Wednesday afternoon, June 17 by the pastor, Rev. J.A. Nochta.
She was born February 28, 1889 at Doniphan, Missouri and died June 15, 1970 at Corning Nursing Home. Her husband, Henry Brooks, died in 1959.
Survivors are three sons, Walter, Albert, and Bill Brooks, all of Corning; four daughters, Mrs. Lessie Batch and Jewell Johnson, both of St. Louis and Mrs. Rosie Herren and Myrl Brown, both of Corning; one sister, Mrs. Laura Richmond of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Arthur Arnold of Poplar Bluff; ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
