Alice K. Wilken, daughter of John and Anna (Kolling) Schlamann, was born January 30, 1918, in Ruskin, Nebraska. She passed away Tuesday, October 26, 1999, in Hebron, Nebraska.

Services were held Saturday, October 30, at 10:30 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron with Pastor Bruce W. Berggren officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron. The remains were cremated. Price Funeral Home of Hebron was in charge of the arrangements.

Alice worked as a sales clerk at Drews Fabrics in Hebron. August 31, 1939, she married John Dean Wilken.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one brother, Walter Schlamann; two sisters, baby girl Schlamann and Leona Andersen Garrelts; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, George Witter, Del Bowman, Rex Wilken, Herbert Jensen, Victor Andersen, Harvey Schriever, Lorna Schlamann and Louis Doering.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Thomsen and her husband Gale of Exeter, Nebraska; one son, Daniel Wilken and his wife Lana of Aurora, Nebraska; four sisters, Caroline Doering of York, Nebraska, Esther Schlamann and Mildred Jensen, both of Superior, Nebraska, and Fern Schriever of Hastings, Nebraska; and five grandchildren, Timothy and Neal Thomsen, and Brent, Erin and Joshua Wilken.
