Juanita "Louise" Jeffers, 87, of Springfield, died Sunday at St.John's Hospital.
She was born Feb. 26, 1909, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude Howard Brown. She married John Clarence Jeffers; he died in 1974.
A Springfield resident for more than 50 years, Mrs. Jeffers was a homemaker and an honorary member of SPARC.
Survivors: three daughters, Betty Seifert of Auburn and Carol Bel Fellah and Joyce Jeffers, both of Springfield; a son, Wayne Jeffers of Springfield; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Dick (Josephine) Druktenis and Mrs. Bill (Evelyn) Johnson, both of California, Mrs. Stanley (Norma) Fletcher of Modesto, Mrs. Dale (Virgie) Heriford and Leona Piercy, both of Waverly, Mrs. John (Barbara) Burnell of Jacksonville and Mildred Roberts of Missouri; two brothers, Edward Brown of Bethalto and Robert Brown of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Staab Funeral Home, Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial: Waverly East Cemetery.
