John Clarence Jeffers, 66, of 938 N. Wesley St. died at 8:45 a.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local No. 916 and the Union Brethren Church at Baylis. Mr. Jeffers was a retired truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Louise; one son, Paul Wayne of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Prueshner of Springfield, Mrs. Aziz (Carol) Belfellah of Kenrita Morroco, and Mrs. Joyce Elaine Jeffers at home; two brothers, Wren of East St. Louis and Amos of Chicago and four grandchildren.
Neece Funeral Home, Waverly is in charge of arrangements.
