Rites Held for Mrs. Teunissen
Mrs. Jake Teunissen, 39, rural Doon, died December 9 at her farm home following a long illness.
Services were at 1:30 PM, December 11, at the First Christian Reformed Church, Rock Valley, with the Rev. Paul Baker officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley with the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley in charge.
Mrs. Teunissen, the former Florence Terpstra, was born July 31, 1934, in Lynden, Washington. She was married November 19, 1954, in Rock Valley.
Survivors include the widower; a son, Jay at home, three daughters, Mrs. Loy (Janice) Van't Hul of Rock Valley and Misses Joyce and LaVonne Teunissen, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Terpstra of Rock Valley; six brothers, Agner and Floyd Terpstra, both of Rock Valley, Harry Terpstra of Brooten Minnesota, Clarence Terpstra of Haward en, and Jake and Pete Terpstra, both of Holland, Michigan; two sisters, Miss Ada Terpstra of Denver and Mrs. Alvin Harmelink of Sioux Center, and a grandchild.
