Pauline Aurand, 86, died Thursday at Del Mar Gardens, Lenexa, Kan.

She was the daughter of Ben and Ollie Rae Griffith, born July 23, 1915, at Appleton City, Mo. She married Lester Aurand Dec. 18, 1935, in Belleville. She worked with her husband on their farms in Jewell and Republic counties.

After leaving the farm she lived in Belleville for 12 years until moving to the Kansas City area to be near her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1965, her son, Clarence, in 1975; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Darryl Day (Thelma), Caldonia, Ill., Vera Aurand, Prairie Village, Mrs. Jim Mahoney (Marian), Overland Park, and Raymond Aurand, Salina; a brother Alva Griffith, Escondido Calif.; and sister, Rosene Pecht, Salem, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at Tibbetts-Fisher Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial was in Rosemound Cemetery, near Hardy.
