DIES IN MISSOURI

Ben Lester Griffith of Marshall, Mo., died there March 13. Funeral services were held at the E.U.B. church (sic) in Republic Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Bertha Jackson with interment in Rose Mound cemetery (sic). Griffith is survived by his children, Edna Moore, Lela Prosser of Grand Junction, Colo., Pauline Aurand of Hardy, Neb., Rosene Pecht of Eugene, Ore., Amy Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla., Orville and Rawleigh Griffith of Marshall, Mo., and Alva Griffith of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Ben Lester Griffith, born March 10, 1886, in Butler Mo., departed this life March 13, 1954, at his home in Marshall, Mo., at the age of 68 years and 3 days.

He was united in marriage to Ollie Ray on April 25, 1908, and to this union ten children were born. In 1916, they moved from Missouri to Nebraska and in 1926 to Colorado, coming to Republic county (sic) in 1932. They returned to Marshall, Mo., in 1946, just before Mrs. Griffith passed away.

Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by a son, Hubert, a daughter, Stella, and his wife, Ollie. He leaves to mourn his passing three sons, Alva Griffith of Brooklyn, N.Y., Raleigh Griffith and Orville Griffith of Marshall, Mo.; five daughters, Mrs. Homer Moore of Colorado state, Mrs. William Prosser of Grand Junction, Colo., Mrs. Lester Aurand of Hardy, Neb., Mrs. Clarence Pecht of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Joe Davis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, nine grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Evangelical United Brethren church (sic) at Republic March 17, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Bertha Jackson. Interment was in the Rose Mound cemetery (sic).
