Pearl Lucille Green, 77, lifelong Guymon resident, died early Tuesday, November 26 at her home. The daughter of Edna (Hockett) and Edward Behne, Pearl was born March 29, 1919 in Guymon, and she attended Guymon schools.

She was united in marriage to Earl Green on July 23, 1938. Mrs. Green cooked at the Northeast School Cafeteria for 12 years and was known for her homemade pies when she ran the Guymon Sale Barn during the 1950s and early 1960s.

As an active member of the Church of the Nazarene, she had served as president of the Dorcas Society and was a worship service greeter for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Earl Green of the family home; a daughter, Debbie and her husband, Greg Ninemire, of Hardesty; two sons, Wayne and his wife Lillie Green and Ronnie and wife Laurie Green; and her mother, Edna Behne, all of Guymon; three sisters, Dorothy and husband, David Farrington, and Mary Brune, all of Guymon and Dora and her husband J. C. Sales of Kingsland, Texas; three brothers, Bob Behne and wife Monie, Jim Behne and wife Charlotte, all of Guymon and Albert and his wife Sue Behne of Hooker, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Iola Behne of Guymon; nine grandchildren, Terry Green, Tammy Green Hans, Erica Green Maddox, Jessica Green Wallace, Monica, Mica and Clancy Green and Sandi and Cody Ninemire; and five great grandchildren, Tanner Green, Trey Terry, Marty Hans and Paxton and Kaitlynn Maddox, and numerous nieces, nephew, and friends. Pearl is preceded in death by her father, Edward Behne and a brother, Lou Behne.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev Terry Armstrong, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
