Virginia May Starcevich, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Pekin, Ill. A resident for 16 years, she was a retired hardware store sales clerk.

She is survived by her husband, John Sr.; two sons, John Starcevich Jr. of Pennsville, N.J., and Danny Starcevich of New Salisbury, Ind.; two daughters, Colleen Martin of East Peoria, Ill., and Sarah Meagher of Henderson; one brother, Robert Arnold of Pekin; three sisters, Rosemary Snitckler of Pekin, Lois Martin of Peoria, and Kathleen Worth of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mass was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Odyssey Health Care, 4011 McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
