J. Sidney Boston, 89, former Guymon businessman died at Canon City, Colo. Tuesday, where he had made his home for the past 40 years. The son of John J. and Evaline Boston, he was born May 20, 1899 at Hillsboro, Texas.

He was married to Edythe Hall Aug. 2, 1934 at Goodwell.

In 1939 he became associated with his brother, Charlie Boston, in the Boston Plumbing and Electric Co. which was later named Boston Furniture and Appliance Co. and was active in that business until moving to Canon City in 1948.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Canon City; the Goodwell Masonic Lodge No. 521 where he had been a member for more than 50 years.; The Scottish Rite Consistory at Pueblo, Colo.; and the Modern Woodman.

Besides his wife, Edythe, of the home, survivors include two daughters, Gayle Knowles of Kiowa, Colo., Darla DelDuca of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; one son, John Richard Boston of Libertyville, Ill.; one sister, Alice Gens of Guymon; two brothers, Clyde Boston of Goodwell; Charlie Boston of Guymon; six grandsons; and six granddaughters.

Masonic Graveside Rites will be given to the Goodwell Lodge No. 521, A. F. & A. M. at the family lot in Elmhurt Cemetery, Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon.
