Evaline Boston was born June 5, 1876, at Bellwood, Wilson County, Tennessee, the daughter of James and Vianne Piper Oldham. She departed this life January 1, 1956, at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 26 days.

On August 23, 1893, she was united in marriage to J. J. Boston . To this union were born eight children, Mrs. Herman Gens of Texhoma; J. B. of Liberal, Ks; Sidney of Canon City, Colo.; William, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1948; Clyde of Olney Springs, Colo.; Robert of Guymon; Roy of Goodwell; and Charley of Guymon.

In 1898 the family moved from Tennessee to Hillsboro, Texas. In 1903, Mr. Boston took land near Goodwell, moving the family here in 1906.

Mrs. Boston was converted when a young lady and united with a Baptist church. She has continued her faith in God through the years and in the daily reading of her well-worn Bible, daily even after her health no longer permitted her regular attendance at church services. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge.

Besides her husband and her seven living children, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. W. Boton, Hillsboro, Texas; 18 grand children; 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
