Frank Bunch, age 75 of Edina, Missouri, passed away Tuesday evening, May 21, 1996, in Grim-Smith Hospital at Kirksville, Missouri.
Born January 29, 1921, in Winigan, Missouri, he was a son of Willis Marion and Irva Ann Belzer Bunch.
On December 28, 1946, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Irene VanSickle who preceded him in death on May 13, 1960;
On March 14, 1964, he was united in marriage to Helen Bernice Stutsman Gilmer.
Surviving are his wife, Helen of Edina; two step-children, John Gilmer of Boca Raton, Florida and Kathy Kaser and husband, Jerry of Bethel, Missouri; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; five brothers, Harley Bunch of Green Castle, Missouri, Volley Bunch of Queen City, Missouri, Dean Bunch of Canton, Missouri, Marion Bunch of Brashear, Missouri and Dick Bunch of Hurdland, Missouri, one sister, Lola Bunch of Hurdland, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Otis, Erman, Hollis, Asa and Alvin Bunch.
Mr. Bunch was a substitute rural letter mail carrier at Hurdland for a number of years. He was also engaged in farming south of Hurdland until his retirement in 1985, when he moved to Edina. Frank served on the Knox County ASCS Committee for many years and was a member of Edina Country Club. In his spare time, Frank love to golf and hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 1996 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, Missouri. Reverend David Howald will officiate the services. Music will be provided by Robert and Elizabeth Poore. Vocal selections will be "Amazing Grace" and "In The Sweet By & By."
Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland, Missouri.
Casket bearers will be John Gonnerman, Jim Bob Gonnerman, Rex Sykes, Robert Harrison, Shawn Kaser and Gerald Davis.
Honorary bearers will be Orval Gibbs, Osborn Gentry, LeRoy VanSickle, James Hayes, Ralph House and Woodrow Sykes.
Friends may call after 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 1996 with family receiving friends 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Homes Edina Chapel, Edina, Missouri.
An expression of sympathy in memory of Mr. Bunch may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice 2000. The memorial may be left at or mailed to the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, P.O.Box 1, Edina, Missouri 63537.
